Craughans Butchers on the Ennis Road
IT IS the end of an era as a popular Limerick butcher have announced they are closing their doors after many years of business.
Both Craughans Butchers on the Ennis Road and in Kileely will be closing their doors as the owners are starting a new journey - one of retirement.
In a heartfelt note left on Craughans Butchers' door, Ger and Sheila Craughans said: "Dear friends, customers and wider community, it is with a heavy heart, after many years of business, Craughans Butchers will be closing its doors and turning off the lights for the last time on Thursday, November 30 to start a new journey of retirement."
They continued: "We are very proud of the business we have built, not possibly without the support of our staff, many who has been with us from the start of our venture many years ago. It would never have been the success It was without them and the support of the community, our wonderful customers and suppliers.
"We thank you for all your continued support throughout the years. We will never forget the friendships we have made with you all including our ever supportive neighbours in North town Shopping Centre."
