Three highly sought-after performers will play in the Lime Tree Theatre on April 21
A TRIO of much sought-after Irish talent will play in Limerick this April.
Led by one of Ireland’s “most spectacular sopranos,” an ensemble of talent will tour across the island this spring and make a stop in the Lime Tree Theatre on Friday, April 21.
One of the country’s foremost classical musicians, Soprano Claudia Boyle will be joined by trumpet player Niall O’Sullivan and pianist Conor Linehan.
With dazzling interpretations, from Handel’s ‘Let The Bright Seraphim’ to Mozart’s Exsultate Jubilate, the trio will present a varied and eclectic programme.
After having secured an international profile in recent seasons through acclaimed performances in European cities and in New York, Claudia Boyle recently returned from making her house debut for Opéra National de Paris, where she proved her linguistic strengths.
Her career highlights include the roles of Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Alice in Alice’s Adventures Underground. Classical musician, Niall O’Sullivan has performed all over Europe, Asia and the USA, appearing in prominent concert halls to sell-out crowds with an ensemble of world-class musicians.
As a featured guest, he has performed with Josh Groban, The Priests and The Unthanks and as a sideman he has shared the stage with Tom Jones, Amy Winehouse, Jose Carreras, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé, Dionne Warwick and Sinead O’Connor.
He has also performed for every president in Ireland since 1990 and was principal trumpet for the Pope’s Irish visit in 2018.
Conor Linehan is a composer, pianist and teacher based in Dublin. As a pianist, Conor is a regular performer with both the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and performs a wide range of solo and chamber music.
He is a member of the piano faculty of the Royal Irish Academy of Music, where he also teaches courses in improvisation.
In high demand as a composer, Conor has composed theatre scores for the all of the major Irish companies as well as The Royal Shakespeare Company, The National Theatre and many other British theatres.
Recent commissions include Joyce's Women (Abbey Theatre), The Tin Soldier (Gate Theatre and Galway International Arts Festival), Gravity (Bottom Dog Theatre Company), Three Short O'Casey Comedies (Druid Theatre) and Backwards Up A Rainbow (Landmark).
