The death has occurred of Patricia Conway (née Fitzgibbon)

Of Oaklawn, Castletroy and Castleconnell

Peacefully at University Hospital Limerick on Tuesday, March 3, 2026

Predeceased by her father, mother, brothers and sisters.

Sadly missed by husband Tony, daughter Carmel, sisters Ann and Teresa, sisters and brothers in law, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.

Rest in peace.

Requiem Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Castleconnell, on Monday, March 9 at 11.30am, which can be viewed on www.castleconnellparish.ie . Burial afterwards in Stradbally. Cemetery Castleconnell.

Thank you to all the University Hospital Limerick staff who looked after Patsy in her final days.

The death has occurred of Eugene Finnan

It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Eugene Finnan, Seven Oaks, Old Cork Road, and late of Wickham Street. Ex-Richmond RFC and former rugby player with Munster.

On March 5, 2026.

Beloved son of John (Junior) and Freda and adored brother of Barbara and Andrew.

Eugene will deeply missed and forever loved by his family, fiancée Julia, stepson Adam, son Richard, nieces Naomi and Ciara, nephews Adam and Alex, brother-in-law Matt, aunts Marie and Phyllis, cousins, other relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace

Reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home, Lower Gerald Griffin Street, Thursday, March 12, from 4pm to 5.30pm.

Funeral will arrive Friday, March 13, at St John’s Cathedral, Cathedral Place, for requiem Mass at 11am, Funeral afterwards to Mount St Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Flora Wallace

Of Catherine Street and Lord Edward Court and formerly of O’Mahony’s Booksellers, O’Connell Street.

On Thursday March 5, 2026 peacefully, in the care of the staff at Athlunkard Nursing Home.

Pre-deceased by her parents Monica and Bill, and her brother Walter.

Very sadly missed by her nephew Dan Wallace and niece Sarah Daly, grand-nieces Ciara and Saoirse Daly, cousins Florence Healy, Eileen Taylor, her god-daughter Claire Connolly and by a very wide circle of good friends and close family: Joanne, Jane, Graham, Paul and Barbara in Newfoundland, Antoinette, the Healy, Brazier, Glynn, Powell and Connolly families.

In keeping with her generous spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others, Flora has donated her body to medical science for the advancement of learning and care.

Flora never met a stranger, only friends she had yet to know.

May her kind soul rest in peace.

Flora's funeral Mass will take place on Friday March 13, 2026 at 11.30am in St. Joseph's Church, O'Connell Avenue.

The death has occurred of Aideen Weekes (née Hogan)

Of Holycross, Bruff

Formerly of Cappawhite, Co Tipperary, on March 6, 2026 in the tender loving care of Ard na Rí Nursing Home , surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her brother Jack, sister Mary and son-in-Law Mossy Lynch.

Aideen is survived and will be deeply missed by her loving husband Michael, her son Michael Jnr, daughters Donna, Anne, Miriam and Claire, her adored grandchildren Vivienne, Oisín, Gemma, Ruby, Raymond, Colin, Niall, Desmond, Iggy, Matthew, Michael and Finbar, her daughter in law Roisin, her sisters Pauline and Noreen. Fondly remembered by her Sons-in-law Conor , Danny and Claire’s partner Daniel, Sister-in-law Liz Hogan, Brother-in-law Paddy Duggan and nephews, nieces , extended family, neighbours and friends, especially her great friend Peggy.

A special word of thanks to the staff at Ard na Rí Nursing Home for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Aideen throughout her time there. Thank you also to Milford Care Centre Staff for their support and care to Aideen in recent weeks.

Aideen will repose this Sunday evening, March 8, at Butler's Funeral Home, Bruff from 5pm to 6:30pm. Funeral arriving to SS. Peter and Paul's Church, Bruff on Monday morning, March 9, for requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of John Walsh

Of Ballycahill, Hospital and Knocklong

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sad passing of John Walsh, Ballycahill, Knocklong, peacefully, at his residence on the March 4, 2026. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary, sisters Chrissie Ryan (Hospital) and Kathleen Roche (Crecora), brothers-in-law Patrick, Vincent and Jim and nephew Vincent Jnr.

Deeply missed by his loving family; sisters Maureen and Breda (Canada), brother-in-law John, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May his gentle soul rest in peace

John will be reposing at O'Leary's Funeral Home, Hospital, on Sunday, March 8 from 5pm -7pm.

John's funeral Mass will take place on Monday in St John the Baptist Church, Hospital at 11.30am and can be viewed online at https://www.churchcamlive.ie/hospitalherbertstown/

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
