A LEG injury has ruled Peter Casey out of Limerick's Allianz Hurling League clash with Cork on Saturday night.
Casey was a late withdrawal from the 26-man panel to face Offaly last time out with Fintan Fitzgerald added to the substitutes bench.
It is hoped that the Na Piarsaigh man won't have too long a spell on the sidelines and should be available for selection when the Rebels come to the Ennis Road venue for the Munster SHC clash in seven weeks time.
Elsewhere, it is believed that Darragh O'Donovan's shoulder injury is not too serious. O'Donovan suffered an AC joint injury in the win in Tullamore last weekend.
A crowd in excess of 20,000 is expected for the meeting of the two Munster rivals. On Friday morning, there were still stand tickets available but it is anticipated they will sell out, with the City End terrace also open for the game.
The round 6 clash throws in at 7pm and will be shown live on TG4.
