Limerick influencer Chloe Koyce praised the court system after the successful conviction
LIMERICK influencer Chloe Koyce has praised the justice system after her stalker was convicted.
Denis Morris (24) of Braemor Road, Churchtown, Dublin, pleaded guilty to stalking Ms Koyce at the Iveagh Gardens Hotel on Harcourt Street, Dublin on March 21, 2025.
He was sentenced at Dublin District Court to six months in prison suspended for 12 months.
“Today, justice was handed down in court. Denis Morris stood before the court for stalking me. For following me from a public street into my hotel, into a lift and towards my room.
“What he did changed my life.
“It left me anxious and afraid in places I should have felt safe.”

Speaking about the importance of securing a conviction, Ms Koyce said: “While he walked out of that courtroom, I walked out stronger.”
She stressed that the fact that stalking is a crime, which can result in a prison sentence is really important for victims.
Ms Koyce explained that it needs to be viewed as a crime with recognition that it is “dangerous, traumatic and not something to be dismissed.”
“I want to sincerely thank Detective Garda Eamon Leen for taking this case seriously from the very beginning - for listening, for acting and for making sure my voice was heard.
“That support mattered more than words can say.”
The young influencer added that she shared her experience to help others.
She shared her story at the time in the immediate aftermath of the incident through long and emotional videos on her social media channels. She had also captured video footage of Mr Morris in the lift.
It prompted national conversation and debate about the safety of women, particularly in her case where it was a public place where she should have felt safe.
“If my voice helped even one woman feel less alone, then every difficult moment was worth it,” she said.
