The death has occurred of Eilish Cooney (née Keays)

Of Abington, Murroe

On December 11, 2025. Predeceased by her husband Tommy. Sadly missed by her son Thomas, daughter Breda, daughter in law Grace, son in law Michael, grandchildren Aoife, Tom, Katie and Ellie, sisters Mary, Eileen, Josephine, and Teresa. Brothers John, Paddy and Richard, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Meehan’s Funeral Home, Newport on Monday, December 15, from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Arrival on Tuesday, December 16 to the Holy Rosary Church, Murroe for requiem Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Abington Cemetery.

Of Thomastown, Kilmallock and Feakle, Clare

On December 11, 2025, very peacefully in her 97th year in the tender and loving care of Niamh and Anna, and all at Maria Goretti Nursing Home, Kilmallock. Beloved wife of the late Michael (Sonny), and dearest mother of the late Fr. Joe. Very deeply regretted by her loving daughter Kay (Meade), sons Mike, Pat and John, Kay's husband John, Mike's partner Orla, Pat's partner Grainne, John's wife Susan, her devoted grandchildren Michael, Declan, Shane, Jack, Emma, Patrick, Clare and Ethan, great grandchildren Jessica, Michael, Hakhim, Sophia, Lela and Ben, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, very kind neighbours and her many friends.

May she rest in peace

Reposing this Saturday evening, December 13, from 5:30pm at St Patrick's Church, Garrienderk, V35 Y688, concluding with evening prayers at 7pm. Concelebrated requiem Mass Sunday, December 14, at 1pm, followed by burial afterwards to Effin Cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in Anne's name in lieu to a charity of your choice.

On December 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of St Ita's Nursing Home. Val will be forever missed by his loving wife Nancy, his sons Sean, Thomas, Trevor and Aaron, daughters Trish, Ciara, Valerie and Karen, brother Ray, sister-in-law Renee, his daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, niece, nephews, relatives and friends

Ex 12th Infantry Battalion, Sarsfield Barracks and Seanchoill, Mens Shed, Parteen.

On December 10, 2025, unexpectedly but peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by wife Tessie, infant son Thomas, partner Emily, parents Maureen and Tommy.

Much loved father of Liz. Paddy will be greatly missed by his daughter, son-in-law Keith Higgins, adored grandchildren Sam, Joe and Séan, brothers Michael and Declan, sisters Chris, Myra and Annette, nephews, nieces, other relatives, the extended O’Regan family and many friends.

Reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Monday, December 15, from 4.30pm to 6pm.

Funeral will arrive Tuesday, December 16, at St. Munchin’s Church, Clancy Stand, for requiem Mass at 10.30am, funeral afterwards to Castlemungret Cemetery, Mungret.

The death has occurred of Helen Keane (née Bourke)

Of Granville Park, formerly of Hilltop, St Patricks Road, and the Well Road, Limerick.

Peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, on December 11, 2025 in the presence of her family.

Helen will be sadly missed by her loving family, son Alan, daughter Phila, grandchildren Karl, Ephron, Ollie and Lola, daughter-in-law Leanne, son-in-law Mark, brothers Michael, Jamsie, John and Dan, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and kind friends.

Very deeply regretted by his loving sister Breda, her partner Fergus, nieces, Melissa and Jacqueline, grandnephews Shaun and Callum, grandnieces Esmee, Matilda and Felicity, all other relatives, friends and neighbours.
