It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Bernie Walsh (née O'Donnell), Flood Street, Killalee and late of Greenhills Road, Garryowen, Limerick

On July 12th 2025, peacefully, at home, bravely borne surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her son Kieran.

Very deeply regretted by her husband Packie, daughters Lesley and Ashley, sons Dom and Mark, grandchildren, great grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters Marie and Chrissie, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Cross's Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Wednesday, July 16th, from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral will arrive Thursday, July 17th, at St. John's Cathedral, Cathedral Place, for Requiem Mass at 11am, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

Bernie's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at St John's Hospital and Milford Care Centre for their exceptional care and support.

Sr. Regina Powell, Sisters of Mercy, Ashe Road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Annaholty House, Birdhill, Co. Tipperary, died peacefully, in University Hospital Limerick, om 13th July 2025. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Bride (nee O'Dwyer) and her sister Eleanor Hourigan-Powell.

Deeply regretted by her loving family, her sisters Patricia (Brennan) and Adelaide (Mangan), nieces Regina (Mangan) and Harriet (Carroll), nephews Peter Joe Mangan and Michael Hourigan-Powell, grandnieces, grandnephews, her Mercy Community, relatives and friends.

Reposing on Tuesday July 15th at Ryan's Funeral Home, Nenagh (E45 KN93), from 5pm until 7pm, followed by removal to St. Mary of the Rosary Church, Nenagh (E45 YH29), arriving at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am followed by burial in Lisboney Lawn Cemetery. The Funeral Mass can be viewed by clicking on the webstream link here

Her family and Mercy Community would like to acknowledge the excellent care that Sr. Regina received from the staff in University Hospital Limerick.

Wife of the late Francis A. Patterson.

Pre-deceased by siblings Paddy, JJ, Kevin and Dolores.

Dearly loved mother of Paul and Angie.

Sadly missed by her family, adored grandson Jeremy, daughter-in-law Judy, sister Agnes Bennis, sister-in-law Carmel, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

The death has occurred of Joan Mulkeen (née McHugh), of Deansgrange and formerly of Limerick. 

Predeceased by her siblings Jimmy, Joe, Clare and Aiden.

Beloved wife of Eddie for almost 66 years. Cherished by all her family, sons Brian, Aidan, Declan, daughter Susan, grandchildren Anna and Hazel, brother Kevin, sister-in-law Sue, daughters-in-law Marguerite, Adrienne and Alison, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral will be held on Thursday 17th July arriving at 9.40am to The Church of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock for reception of remains at 9.45am and Funeral Mass at 10am, followed by a cremation service in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross at 12.15pm.

The death has occurred of Grace Keane (née Nix), The Forts, Dooradoyle, Limerick and formerly of Bon Accord, Ennis Road, Limerick.

July 14th 2025 peacefully in the loving care of Milford Care Centre.

Beloved wife of the late Louis. Dearly loved mother of Declan, Valerie and Cindy. Sadly missed by her loving daughter-in-law Aideen, son-in-law Dave, her adored sisters Ada and Mary, her cherished grandchildren Darrin, Cíosa, Shauna, Adam, Katie, Conor, Grace and Éabha, great-granddaughter India, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

May she rest in peace.

The death has occurred of Mary Guiney (née Moroney), Gurrane, Castlecor, Buttevant, Co. Cork and formerly of Murroe and Cappamore, Co. Limerick.

Mary passed away peacefully and gracefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 13th, 2025 and in the tender and loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff of Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, Cork.

Sadly missed and remembered forever by her loving husband Denis, daughter Eileen, son Shay, daughter-in-law Severine, her adored grandchildren Tristan and Mathias, brother Mattie, sisters Elizabeth (Lizzie) and Kathleen (Lila), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, relatives and her wide circle of kind neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by her sisters Mary Bridget (Biddy) and Eileen (Nellie) and brothers Jimmy, Patsy, Henry, Willie and Johnny.

Reposing in O'Keeffe's Funeral Home, Bank Place, Buttevant (P51 N2NP) on Tuesday evening from 6.00pm to 7.30pm followed by Prayers and reception into the Church of the Immaculate Conception BVM, Lisgriffin.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 2.00pm followed by burial in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Buttevant.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Marymount Hospice for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Mary and her family.

Peacefully, in the tender care of St. Paul’s Nursing Home, Dooradoyle on 10th July 2025.

Sadly missed by his loving children Anne, Thomas, Paul and John, grandchildren Lora, James, Harry, Maddie, TJ, Jackson, TJ, Scott, Hannah, Mary, April, Tara and Anja, son-in-law Peter, daughters-in-law Michele and Joy, nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.
