RIP: Limerick deaths and funeral details, Tuesday, June 24

Deaths in Limerick: Tuesday, March 12, 2024

The death has occurred of Vincent Cagney, Green Acres, Kildromin, Kilteely, Co Limerick peacefully on June 23 at St Michael’s Nursing Home Caherconlish Co. Limerick surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his wife Frances, infant baby William and son Fergal, brothers Fr Willie, Jack, Davy, Michael and Gerard, sisters Mary Ann (Mitchell), and Sr Bred.

Sadly missed by his loving sons Brian, Kevin, Dermot & Noel, grandchildren Tara, Clodagh, Avril, Ryan, Dylan, Cillian, Sean and Iarla, brother Joe, daughters in law AnneMarie, Sandra, Wendy and Bernadette, sister in law Margaret, cousins, nieces, nephews, family relatives kind neighbours and friends. 

Vincent will be reposing at Davern's Funeral Home, Hospital, Co. Limerick (V35XV96) this Thursday evening, June 26 from 5.30pm followed by removal at 7pm to the Church of Ss. Patrick & Brigid, Kilteely. Requiem Mass on Friday, June 27 at 11.30am, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Anne Kennedy (née Garrett) Laurel Hill Court, Summerville Avenue, Limerick and formerly of Cloughjordan, Co Tipperary peacefully on June 24 at University Hospital Limerick.

Late of Eircom and Midwest School for the Deaf, Childers Road.

Beloved wife of Gerry. Dearly loved mother of Garrett and Denise. Sadly missed by Garrett’s partner Eugenie and Denise’s partner Mark, grandson Caleb, sister Margaret, sisters-in-law Marian and Mary, brothers-in-law Tom, Mick and Johnny, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Thursday, June 26 from 4.30pm to 6pm followed by removal to St Joseph’s Church, O’Connell Avenue for prayers at 6.30pm. Funeral arriving at St Michael’s and St John’s Church, Cloughjordan (E53 HE16) on Friday, June 27 for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Mary O’Connor nèe Culhane, Duncaha, Shanagolden, Co Limerick in her 98th year.

Mary passed away peacefully at Beechwood House Nursing Home Newcastle West on Monday, June 23 surrounded by her family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband John, brother Michael, Sisters Ellen and Kathleen.

Deeply missed by her children Terry, Pat, Mary, John, Joe and Eileen, sons-in-law Aidan and Martin, daughters-in-law Marie and Mary, grandchildren Emer, Eoin, Helena and James, nieces, nephews, kind neighbours and friends. 

Reposing at St. Colman’s Church, Kilcolman (Eircode V42 K778) on Thursday, June 26 from 6pm until 8pm. Requiem Mass in Kilcolman Church on Friday, June 27 at 12 noon followed by burial afterwards in local cemetery.
