RIP: Limerick deaths and funeral details, Friday, May 23

The death has occurred of Helen Crowley, Mobhi Road, Glasnevin, Dublin and formerly of Martinstown and Bottomstown, Knockainey, Co Limerick, on May 22, very peacefully in her 99th year, in the tender and loving care off all at Beechlawn Nursing Home, Dublin.

Predeceased by her siblings Mary (Crowe), Catherine, Sr Frances, Dermot, Frank, Mark, Joe, Fr Tom, Patrick and Fr Mossy.

Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends, especially the Coffey family.

Reposing this Monday evening, May 26, from 6pm at St Mary's Church, Knockainey, followed by evening prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass Tuesday, May 27 at 11.30am, followed by burial afterwards to the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Mary McCarthy (née O’Dea) Uggoon Tulla, Co Clare / Lisready, Loughill, Co Limerick and late of Ayle, Feakle, in her 93rd year Uggoon, Tulla, Clare / Loughill, Limerick on May 22 peacefully, surrounded by her adoring family.

Predeceased by her husband Mick and her brothers Patrick and Joe.

Mary was much loved and will be sadly missed by her son Michael (Tulla) daughters Anne (Scanlon) Loughill and Geraldine (Reidy) Tulla.

Her adored grandchildren Lauren and Merrissa Scanlon, Conor, Mae, Lily, Amelie and Marcus McCarthy, sons-in-law Tommie Scanlon and Michael Reidy, daughter-in-law Marissa, niece, nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends. 

Reposing at St Peter and Paul’s Church Tulla, Saturday, May 24, from 7pm to 8.30pm.

Arrival for Requiem Mass Sunday, May 25, at 11am in St Peter and Paul’s Church Tulla, Burial afterwards in Tulla cemetery.

The death has occurred of Margaret McMahon (née Power) Ennis Road, Limerick and formerly of Tynagh, Co Galway on May 22 peacefully at Athlunkard Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late John McMahon and much-loved mother of John and Brian. Sadly missed by her loving family, sisters Mary and Kathleen, brother Willie, grandchildren Gillian, Caroline, John T, Conor, James and Sarah, great-grandson Leo, daughter-in-law Edel, sister-in-law Dolly, grandson-in-law Cathal, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Beloved wife of Eddie. Dearly loved mother of Edward, Michael and Sharon.

Sadly missed by her loving daughter-in-law Jacinta, son-in-law Dermot, and Edwards' partner Kieran, her cherished grandchildren Caoimhe, Evan, Ronan, Darragh, Aidan and Paul, brothers Pat, Jackie and Noel, sisters Helen and Marie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

The death has occurred of Joe Murtagh, Meadow Ville, Dooradoyle Road, Limerick and formerly of Kill, Co Cavan peacefully on May 22 in his 92nd year, surrounded by his loving family at University Hospital, Limerick.

Recently predeceased by his wife Mary.

Late of Irish Life Assurance, Limerick Golf Club and Limerick Classic & Vintage Car Club.

Deeply regretted by his sons and daughters, Sean, Eamon, Maura, Grainne, Niall and Claire. Also, sons-in-law, Ray Parkes and Joe Cusack, his daughters-in-law Frances, Suzanne Hayes. Grandchildren, Eoin, Alice, Stephen, Sean, Helena, Cathal, Robert, Aoibhé, Jack and Conor, his loving sisters Monica (Joe Smith), Lena (Peter Kelly) and Kathleen (Sean O’Brien). His two sisters-in-law, Bernadette (Frank McKeon RIP) and Ann (Tom Byrne) also Vera Brennan (Brendan RIP). His nieces, nephews and his many friends.

Predeceased by his sons Peadar and Ciaran and granddaughter, Shellie, along with his brothers-in-law Joseph, Dick, Frank, Brendan and Martin.

Reposing at his residence (V94 T02T) on Friday, May 23 from 5pm to 7pm. Mass at St Nessan’s Church, Raheen, Limerick, V94 DE98 at 2pm on Saturday, May 24. Private Cremation will be held on Sunday, May 25.
