Deaths in Limerick: Wednesday, April 2

The death has occurred of Sean Duggan, Cappamore, Co Limerick and Bere Island, Co Cork, formerly of South Terrace, Cork city, suddenly but peacefully at home on April 1. 

Dear husband of Eilís and beloved father of Barry, Diane and Colin who mourn him deeply.

Sadly missed by their partner and spouses, Christine, Michael and Fina and his adored grandchildren Elizabeth, Caoimhe, Ollie, Tommy and Danny, also survived by his sister Eileen and her family. Fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and all his extended family and loyal friends in Cappamore, Bere Island and beyond.

Reposing at Lynch-Kelly Funeral Home Cappamore (V94 C5H2) Friday, April 4 from 4.30pm with removal at 7.30pm to St Michael’s Church, Cappamore. Requiem Mass Saturday at 10.30am followed by cremation at the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Cork at 2pm. Ashes will be interred in Bere Island.

The death has occurred of Br Michael Bernard, Edmund Rice House, North Richmond Street, Dublin and formerly of Caledonian Place, Limerick city on March 31 in his 91st year.

Predeceased by his brother Paddy, sister Kathleen and nephew William.

Sadly missed by his loving nephews Gerry, Kevin and Don, nieces Kay, Suzanne, Barbara, Elizabeth, Marie, Rosarie, Mary, Joanne, Antoinette, Julie and extended family and friends.

Reposing in the Fanagan Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand, Dublin on Thursday, April 3 from 3pm to 5pm. Requiem Mass on Friday, April 4 at 11am in St Agatha’s Church, North William Street, Dublin followed by Funeral to the Marino Community Plot, Griffith Ave, Dublin 9.

The death has occurred of Thomas (Tom) Smith, Birmingham, UK and formerly Abbeyfeale, Limerick on March 30, peacefully, surrounded by his beloved family, in the loving care of The Willows Hospice, Birmingham. 

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Myra, his daughter Wendy, parents Michael and Margaret (Peggy), his infant sister Susan, brother Michael and nephew James. 

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his cherished family; his daughter Susan, son-in-law Damien, his adored grandchildren, Marc, Thomas, Liam and Harrison, his great-grandchildren, Meadow and Korben, his brothers, Pa, Willie, Dan, Steve, Jimmy, his sisters-in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends both in Ireland and UK. 

Tom's funeral will take place in Birmingham.

Michael beloved husband and best friend of the late Annette, adored father of Adrienne, Therese and Jean.

Arriving in St John the Baptist Church, Nicker, Pallasgreen (V94 WK16) Friday morning, April 4 at 11am for Requiem Mass at 11.30am with burial afterwards in the burial ground adjoining St Thomas’ Church, Bridgetown, Co Clare (V94 AY68).
