The death has occurred of Philomena O Halloran (née Casey), Roseview Drive, O'Malley Park, Limerick.
On 1st August 2024, Philomena passed away in University Hospital Limerick
Pre-deceased by her Husband John, parent Briget & Willie Casey, and her son William .
Sadly missed by her daughters Tina & Amanda, sons Paul, Anthony, Joey, Danny, Sogger & Wesley, grandchildren especially Martina & Lexi, great grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers & sisters, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends .

Reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Tuesday, August 6th, from 2pm to 4pm
Funeral will arrive on Wednesday, August 7th, at Holy Family Church, Southill, Requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Mount Lawrence (Ext) Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Catherine Hayes (née Barrett), Murroe Wood, Limerick, and formerly of Janesboro.
2nd August 2024, unexpectedly at her home.
Predeceased by her loving son Kevin, and Dad Thomas.
Catherine will be sadly missed by her loving husband James, sons David and Conor, Mom Kathleen, sisters Pauline, Norma, Deirdre, Margaret and Helen, brothers Billy and Ger, sisters-in-law Mary Teresa and Doreen, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family, many friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Meehan's Funeral Home Newport on Wednesday 7th August from 5.30 to 7.30 p.m. Arriving on Thursday 8th to the Church of the Holy Rosary Murroe for Requiem Mass at 11.30 a.m., burial afterwards in Abington Cemetery. Donations if desired to Heart House Family Heart Screening Clinic.

Peacefully in St Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown, after a short illness.

The death has occurred of Eric Counihan, Limerick City and late of Crowe Lane, Gort, Co. Galway and former Hotelier.
Peacefully, on the 5th of August 2024, surrounded by the love of family and friends, in the tender care of the wonderful staff of the Milford Care Centre, Limerick.
Pre- deceased by his adored parents Mai & Johnny, by other beloved family members and some great friends.
It is with much sadness and many tears that Eric’s family announce his passing after a short illness borne with great courage, acceptance and humour.
Eric will forever be in the heart of his loving wife and best friend Helen (nee Mullins). Cherished and much loved by all his family, he will be fondly remembered by his brother’s Ronnie (Oranmore), Colman (Gort) & John (Gort), sisters-in-law Rita, Imelda, Mary and Deirdre, brothers-in-law Billy, Donal and Gerard (Ger), by his grandchildren and godchildren Shane, Phillip & Conor, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.
Sadly missed by his aunts Kay Devereux (Portarlington), Eileen O’Connor (Kildare), Anne Dennehy (Dalkey), Kay Counihan (Kilrush), Sheila Duffy (Gort), Maura Duffy (Galway), Mary Neville (Kildimo), loyal cousins, relatives, great neighbours, many friends & former colleagues and by the extended Counihan, Duffy and Mullins family’s.

Eric will lie in repose in Seomra Ciúin, within Gort Town Hall, Church Street, Gort, (H91 E0C8) on Tuesday evening, August 6th, from 6.30pm until 8pm. Private removal on Wednesday August 7th with the funeral cortege arriving to St. Colman’s Church Gort in advance of Requiem Mass at 1pm. A Cremation service will take place at Shannon Crematorium at 4pm for family and close friends. Family flowers only please, donations in Eric’s memory can be made to The Milford Care Centre Limerick. House private Wednesday please. The funeral mass will be livestreamed on the Gort Parish Facebook Page. Eric’s ashes will be laid to rest at a later date in the family grave at Labane cemetery.
