Massive queue outside Limerick store - and it's not for match or concert tickets!

The queue - four abreast in places - snakes along the city centre street

One early morning shopper spoke to Limerick Live and said, “I’ve been coming to Silke’s for years and I am so sad to see it go. I came in this morning for one last look around and to hopefully find a good bargain.”

Proprietor Owen Silke said: "It’s a bittersweet moment. We’ve had incredible support from the people of the region for over three decades. We’ve seen artists grow and flourish, students become teachers, and teachers become artists.”
