AS MOTORISTS take to the roads ahead of the Christmas period, Circle K announced a special Christmas fuel discount this Thursday afternoon and the people of Limerick were quick to stock up!
From 1pm to 4pm this Thursday, the price of its premium miles and milesPLUS fuel was reduced by 20 cent a litre.
Circle K on the Dock Road in Limerick sold their diesel at 154.9 per litre and their unleaded at 139.9 per litre for a limited time.
A customer who spoke to Limerick Live agreed that the cheap diesel brought her to the pumps. “I wasn’t expecting so many people to be here”, she began. “I put €90 into my car at least every week and with school runs and work it would usually cost me a fortune,” she added.
“My husband heard about the deal from someone at work and then I was on my way,” she chuckled.
Alannah Barron, manager of Circle K on the Dock Road said she was delighted to see the buzz around the area. “There’s queues all day since one o’clock to get into the forecourt”, she revealed.
In response to the madness, she added “we have three people manning the forecourt today just to keep control of the situation all day long.”
As it is the season of giving, she added: “it’s nice to be able to give back to the customers coming up to Christmas every little helps.”
She added that with every purchase this Thursday, customers will receive a five cent fuel voucher which can be redeemed from this Friday until January.
