All four Limerick sides were on the receiving end of a loss, which will no doubt fuel them ahead of next week's round of fixtures.

The Limerick Celtic's Men's side, who won at the death in week one against Ballincollig, were on the receiving end this week as EJ Sligo All-Stars scored a buzzer-beating jumper through Elijah Faapito to take home their first victory of the campaign in a 88-86 scoreline.

Elijah had a steady performance with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. But it was the duo of Jazere Noel and Christian Michael Williams, who combined for 49 points, that drove Sligo through the pressure that came from the newly-promoted Limerick side.

Next up for the Celtics Men's side is a trip to De La Salle College to face Belfast Stars on Saturday evening, tip-off is at 6.30pm.

The Limerick Celtics Women's side came unstuck v a sharp shooting Cleveland Rockets in Belfast on Saturday. Irish internationals Donnelly and Glockner combined for 45 points to give Rockets the win.

From the start, the Celtics struggled to stay in the game as Rockets built a double digit lead in the first quarter, Celtics stayed in the game thanks to ten points from Aoife Morrisey and Sabhbh Edwards Murphy.
Celtics on the strength of a 14 to four run in the third quarter driven by the excellent Katie Black assisted by Sydney Richards reduced the deficit to just two points, before three consecutive 3s from Rockets saw them over the line.
On the brighter note, Celtics rising star Laura Buckley took full advantage of the tighter roster playing 16 minutes hitting six points and five rebounds. As well as a block to add the her sisters 11 points.
Next up for the Celtics Women's side is a trip west to face University of Galway Mystics at Kingfishr, tip-off is at 3pm on Sunday.
The Limerick Sport Eagles were unable to follow up their opening round victory over Tipp Talons. Niall McDermott's side were beaten by Moy Tolka Rovers on a scoreline of 101-88.
They will be looking to bounce back this weekend when they travel to the capital to face Templeogue in Tallaght. Templeogue are yet to pick up a win in their opening two games.
The Limerick Sport Huskies were also on the receiving end of a loss when they welcomed Clunetech Kilkenny Stars to the LETT's school.
Patrick O'Regan's side lost out on a scoreline of 61-56. They will be looking to bounce back this weekend when they travel to Lisburn to face the Cleveland Rockets, who are 1-0 after last weekend's win over the Limerick Celtics.
