David and Elaina Fitzgerald getting ready for the wedding fair
LOVE is Golden in Adare this weekend where Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel will host its ‘Wedding Fayre’ on Sunday.
Straw bale couples which have been placed at the entrance to the village and in front of the hotel itself to promote the event have been garnering a huge reaction locally and online in recent weeks. In a show of support for marriage equality, the display features two grooms and two brides in addition to the traditional bride and groom.
On hand at this weekend’s wedding fair will be brother and sister team David and Elaina Fitzgerald (Elaina is the current Brides of Limerick Wedding Co-Ordinator of the Year), both of whom will be available to couples who are looking for advice on how to make their special day unique.
This year, the hotel will be unveiling its new gold table settings comprising gold trimmed delph, golden handled cutlery and golden candelabras which match the hotel’s Chiavari chairs which are complimentary for all weddings along with a vintage tea and coffee arrival reception.
New menu options will also be available for tasting at this weekend’s wedding fair, many of which see a modern twist given to classic dishes, all of which are carefully prepared using the finest local ingredients.
The ‘Wedding Fayre’ takes place this Sunday, January 31, from 4pm to 7pm and entry is free.
