Athea GAA club held their Donkey Derby on Saturday night last and it proved to be a huge success.
In what was a very enjoyable night at the 'Top of the Town' Bar there were six very exciting races held as well as an auction race to finish the night off.
Other prizes on the night were 'Best dressed lady' won by Julie Finucane, while the winner of the best dressed man was Patrick Ahern.
Athea GAA club have offered their thanks to all those who supported them on the night and to all the people who helped out with running of the derby and to Johnny and Betty Cotter of the Top of the Town bar for their continued support.
