WATCH Na Piarsaigh senior hurling coach Tomas Downes: 'It's special days for the club'

Na Piarsaigh won their ninth Limerick Senior Hurling Championship title on Sunday evening

"It's not really sinking in at all yet, it's special days for the club. You see all the young fella's there trying to take a team picture and they're all invading it, that's what it's all about. The good times are back in our club, it was a long time we didn't have them and to be back on the success trail this year is great," said Na Piarsaigh senior hurling coach Tomas Downes.

NA PIARSAIGH were crowned Whitebox Property Ltd Limerick Senior Hurling Champions when they defeated Doon 2-25 to 2-18 after extra time in the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday evening.  Downes has previously worked as a coach with Garryspillane, Feakle and Newtownshandrum and he returned to his club this year to take up a role as part of Shane O'Neill's backroom team.
