"It's fantastic for the club, over the last fifteen years we have really been standard bearers and it's been brillant and we just try to continue to push the standards as much we can," said Na Piarsaigh's Peter Casey.
NA PIARSAIGH were crowned Whitebox Property Ltd Limerick Senior Hurling Champions when they defeated Doon 2-25 to 2-18 after extra time in the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday evening. Shane O'Neill's side outscored Doon 0-8 to 0-1 in extra time and ultimately that proved to be the difference the sides.
Casey was on target with 0-3 for the Caherdavin side in the Limerick SHC final. Na Piarsaigh lifted their ninth county title in on Sunday.
Na Piarsaigh will now switch their focus to a Munster Senior Hurling Championship quarter-final against Ballygunner on Sunday 2 in the TUS Gaelic Grounds at 4pm.
