WATCH: Doon’s Pat Ryan says reaching Limerick Senior Hurling Championship final shows 'a sign of consistency'

Doon defeated Ballybrown in the Limerick SHC semi-final in Kilmallock on Sunday evening

"We've been in a lot of semi-finals in the last ten years, maybe eight in the last ten years and had never won two them in-a-row. I think that's a big monkey off the back and a sign of a bit of consistency which is what we are looking for," said Doon's Pat Ryan after his side's victory over Ballybrown.

Doon have booked their place into the Whitebox Property Developments Limerick senior hurling championship final after they defeated Ballybrown 2-21 to 0-14 in Kilmallock on Sunday evening.

This is the first time Doon have reached back-to-back Limerick senior hurling finals in their club's history. Derek McGrath's side will now meet Na Piarsaigh in the Limerick SHC final on Sunday October 19 at 3:30pm in the TUS Gaelic Grounds. Doon’s wider range of scorers, with nine players contributing, proved crucial as Ballybrown could manage only four points from play.
