WATCH: Monaleen manager Eoin Brislane: 'The boys keep answering the questions'

MONALEEN secured their passage into the quarter-finals of the Bon Secours Limerick senior hurling championship for the first time after securing a hard-earned 1-20 to 1-17 final round, Group 2 victory over Kildrimo-Pallaskenry at Mungret St Paul's on Sunday afternoon.

Monaleen's reward for their success is a glamour quarter-final meeting with Patrickswell in Bruff on Sunday, October 6 at 2pm.

The winners of that game will then take on Doon in the county semi-final a week later.

Leader Sport caught up with Monaleen senior hurling manager Eoin Brislane following their weekend win in Mungret.
