MONALEEN are aiming for senior B glory this season as they set their sights on promotion to the senior A competition next season. That dream all depends on how well they compete in group two of the Bons Secours Hospital County Senior Hurling Championship.
The Castletroy club take on Ballybrown in their opening round of the championship in Fedamore on Saturday evening at 7pm.
Luke Murphy from the Monaleen club spoke at the launch of the senior club hurling championship stating: "In senior B if you have any ambitions to progress upwards you need four or five wins in the championship and a good start is key to to that. Our thing is always to be improving, we do have ambitions to move up a grade like any other team in our division but the main this is to continue to improve every game."
