SINN FEIN TD Maurice Quinlivan has been re-elected in Limerick City at the 2024 General Election.
He passed through the 8,435 quota at the 13th count after a transfer of 851 from Cllr Sarah Beasley, Aontu.
It's the third consecutive occasion he has been re-elected to Dail Eireann.
First elected in 2016, the Farranshone man went on to top the poll at the 2020 General Election. He has slipped back in the poll this time.
But, speaking ahead of being hoisted shoulder-high by his supporters, Mr Quinlivan said: "I'm not too worried about poll topper, I was just worried about retaining the Sinn Fein seat which we have done here comfortably.
"We are very happy with the result we got. What is positive is the huge number of young people who came out and voted for Sinn Fein. It's a good election for us," he said.
