WATCH: Mungret St Paul's footballer Killian Ryan: 'We want this club to take over'

Mungret St Paul's were crowned Limerick SFC champions for the first time on Sunday

"This is the start for this club is what we hope, we want to get better and better. We want this club to take over if possible, every other team in the county are going to go and drag us down. It's our job to keep pushing hard," said Mungret St Paul's footballer Killian Ryan.

MUNGRET St Paul’s claimed their first-ever Limerick Senior Football Championship title, overcoming Newcastle West 0-12 to 1-5 at Mick Neville Park on Sunday afternoon.

Kevin O'Hagan's side delivered an outstanding defensive performance, restricting Newcastle West to just 1-3 from play in the Limerick SFC final. The champions showcased their attacking depth with seven different scorers throughout the contest, a remarkable achievement for a club that only captured the intermediate title in 2023.
