WATCH: Young Munster head coach Ger Slattery 'proud' of his side's victory in AIL

Young Munster overcame Terenure College RFC 34-30 in Clifford Park in Division 1A

YOUNG Munster head coach Ger Slattery drew a breath of relief after his side's tight 34-30 victory over Terenure College RFC in the second round of the Energia All-Ireland League Division 1A.

Speaking after the ding-dong battle between the two sides head coach Slattery stated: "We did our best to lose that game at times, but I was so proud of the lads and the effort they all put into the game. It was a great game of rugby that could have gone either way but we are absolutely delighted with the result."

This is the 'Cookies' second win on the trot in the opening rounds of this seasons AIL as they now face a trip to Cork to take on Cork Constitution in Temple Hill on Saturday, October 5.
