Limerick trainer continues impressive run of form with two wins

Athea trainer Eoin McCarthy has been in good form of late and he struck twice with winners last week.
The first of those arrived at Ballinrobe on Monday when Colliers Quay (11-2) took the Adare Manor Opportunity Hurdle. He responded well inside the closing stages for conditional jockey Tom O’Connor from Dingle to score by half a length.
McCarthy’s other success came via Elusive Ogie at Bellewstown on Wednesday in the 2m4f handicap hurdle for in-form Co Cork jockey Daniel King.
Mullingar trainer Robson Aguiar’s fine season continued when he enjoyed a double at Navan on Thursday.
Supreme Lord took the opening nursery convincingly by nearly four lengths as the 11-8 favourite.
Winning jockey Billy Lee said: “He has done it well. I had something left in the locker at the end of the race and going up to seven furlongs won’t be a problem to him.”
The trainer added: “He is still a bit babyish and there is a lot more improvement in him. I like him a lot.”

Mick Mulvany and Limerick’s Wesley Joyce are enjoying a productive run and they teamed up for another winner when Nephin Mountain landed the mile handicap at Navan last Thursday.
The 11-1 chance scored by half a length.
Charles and Philip Byrnes made the long journey to Down Royal from Limerick worthwhile as Reverend Hubert took the Denny Hurdle over three miles.
The 9-4 favourite battled to a three-quarters of a length victory from market rival Samui (3-1).
