‘Check your tickets carefully!’: Limerick player has ‘incredible’ EuroMillions win

A EuroMillions player in Limerick is getting their Bank Holiday weekend off to a memorable start after winning the top prize of €500,000 in last night’s Plus draw.

The player scooped their incredible prize after purchasing their Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw, Friday, October 23, at Sean’s Shop, New Road, Johnsgate Village in Limerick city.

The winning numbers in Friday's EuroMillions Plus draw were: 1, 11, 14, 40 and 45.

The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. They should make contact with the Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email [email protected] and arrangements will be made for them to visit Lottery Headquarters.

National Lottery spokesperson Emma Monaghan said “there could be a very exciting Bank Holiday weekend ahead for one EuroMillions player in Limerick who is now holding a €500,000 winning ticket”.

“We are urging everyone who purchased a ticket at Sean’s Shop in Johnsgate Village on Friday to check their tickets very carefully. In total, over 47,000 players in Ireland won prizes in Friday night's EuroMillions and Plus draws, but one Limerick player stands out as the biggest winner of the night, taking home an incredible €500,000 prize!”

As there was no winner of the €70,191,680 jackpot on offer in last night’s draw, Tuesday’s jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €80 million.
