BRUREE are bidding to avoid an unwanted three in a row as they prepare for yet another Nick Grene Sportsground Intermediate Hurling Championship final.

The south Limerick men fell at the final hurdle in each of the last two seasons and will be hoping that this is their year.

After an extra-time success over Feenagh-Kilmeedy, they are up against a Knockaderry side chasing back-to-back promotions.

Limerick panelist Fionn O’Brien is the goalkeeper for the side captained by Tommy Cronnolly.

Former Limerick defender Stephen McDonagh is the manager with Liam Reale involved in the coaching team.

All-Ireland winner in 2018 with Limerick Tom Condon still lines out for the west Limerick club who, despite a quick start where they had three first quarter goals, were holding on for dear life against Cappamore in their semi-final.

For the west Limerick men to be triumphant, they will need to stop a free-scoring Bruree attack. The men in white and blue averaged 32 points a game in the group stage.

Their joint-captains are Liam Molyneaux and Enda Moran.

Knockaderry’s only previous IHC final appearance was the 2013 defeat to Dromin-Athlacca, where a championship restructure meant they entered the Premier IHC the following year.

The game takes place on Saturday at 5pm in Mick Neville Park.
