Monagea too strong for Killeedy in Limerick Junior 'A' hurling final

The win sees Monagea promoted back to Premier Junior ‘A’ one year after being relegated from the same grade
MONAGEA were comfortable 2-14 to 1-6 victors over Killeedy in the Woodlands House Hotel and Spa Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship final in Newcastle West.
Conor Hough landed nine points for the winners, while goals from Thomas O’Callaghan and James Normoyle fired Monagea to victory.
Playing into a gale in the first half, O’Callaghan’s goal was the difference between the sides. Cian Magner-Flynn scored all six of Killeedy’s first half points.
Hough landed the first five scores in the second half to put Monagea in a great position but a Ruadhri Crowley goal gave late hope to Killeedy.
However, Normoyle’s reply ended any chances of a comeback and it was Monagea that earned the title and promotion back to Premier ‘Junior’ for 2027.
