Met Éireann have updated two separate Status Orange warnings for snow, ice and rain for five counties in Munster as "significant snowfall accumulations" are expected to fall.
The national forecaster have updated the Status Orange warning for Cork and Waterford to a Snow and Rain warning, predicting heavy rain transitioning to sleet and snow.
The Status Orange Snow and Ice warning for Clare, Limerick, Tipperary remains in place and now includes county Galway, with both warnings taking effect from midnight, this Thursday November 21.

Very difficult travelling conditions and poor visibility, along with disruption and delays to public transport (air, rail, bus), along with difficult conditions underfoot and animal welfare issues, will affect all six counties, with flooding possible also in Cork and Waterford.

It's not known yet if schools will be impacted by Thursday's extreme weather.
A separate Status Yellow Snow-Ice warning for Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wexford, Wicklow and Munster is due to come into effect at 9pm this Wednesday, while a Status Yellow Low Temperature/Ice warning for the whole country comes into effect from 8pm the same evening.
Both warnings will remain valid until midday on Thursday, November 21.
