THERE are long tailbacks in Limerick city this Wednesday morning as gardai blocked off a road to preserve a crime scene,

Gardai taped off a section of Athlunkard Street, outside St Mary's Church, so there is no access over Athlunkard Bridge leading to Corbally.

Traffic is being diverted away from one of the main arteries into Limerick city causing long delays at rush hour. Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible.
