Met Éireann has issued a 24-hour status yellow rain warning for Waterford, Cork and Wexford
Met Éireann is warning of poor visibility, potential local flooding and difficult travelling conditions in Waterford this weekend due to expected heavy rainfall.
The forecaster has issued a 24-hour status yellow rain warning for Waterford and two other counties - Cork and Wexford - for Sunday.
"Persistent rain, heavy at times," states the status yellow warning which will come into effect at midnight on Sunday.

In its latest forecast for the weekend, Met Éireann says: "Rain, heavy in parts, will spread up from the southwest, over much of the country during Saturday night and Sunday, reaching the north coast Sunday afternoon, and accompanied by fresh to strong and gusty easterly winds."
It adds: "Some spot flooding may occur in parts too. Highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees."
Motorists and other road users are being urged to exercise caution if travelling while the weather warnings are in place.
