Treaty United announce the departure of eight senior men's players ahead of 2026 season

TREATY United have announced the departure of eight senior men's players ahead of the 2026 League of Ireland First Division campaign.

The Shannonsiders have announced the departures of Karl O'Sullivan, Patrick Ferry, Eoin Martin, Joe Hanson, Niko Kozlowski, Connor Wilson, Dean Owens and Chris Horgan. 

Glin native Karl O'Sullivan joined the club ahead of the 2025 season from Galway United. O’Sullivan made 29 appearances in all competitions for the club, playing a crucial part in the club reaching the First Division Playoffs for the first time in the club’s history. The midfielder grabbed a goal against UCD in May while also providing seven assists.

Patrick Ferry made the move to Shannonside from fellow First Division side Finn Harps last Summer. The Gweedore native made his debut for the club in the FAI Cup against Derry City. Ferry made 16 appearances for the club, finding the net on five occasions and grabbing 3 assists. The forward moves on to Athlone Town FC. 

Eoin Martin joined the club at the beginning of the 2025 making the move across the Atlantic from the University of Kentucky. The New-Yorker made 31 appearances for the club in all competitions. The defender grabbed two goals for the club, one of which was the winner in extra time in the second-leg of the First Division Playoff semi-final against Cobh Ramblers.

Canadian forward Joe Hanson made the move to Limerick from Canadian Premier League side Valour FC at the beginning of the 2025 season. Hanson made 22 appearances for the club last year making his debut in 5-0 win away to Athlone Town. The Yukon native scored three times for the club, with his most memorable goal coming at home to Cobh Ramblers in the first leg of the Playoffs, to win the first leg.

Winger Niko Kozlowski, from Nenagh was a product of the Treaty United Caerleon Academy. Niko joined the club in 2021 and made the progression through the academy ranks playing for the MU17s and MU19s (Currently MU20). The Nenagh winger made his senior debut for the club in May of 2022 in a Munster Senior Cup tie against Cork City. Niko then went on to make 37 senior appearances for the club, finding the net on four occasions including a last minute winner against UCD last season.

Connor Wilson joined the club ahead of the 2025 season from New Zealand outfit Western Suburbs FC. Wilson went on to make 27 appearances in all competitions for the club and also scoring on one occasion against Cobh Ramblers last July. 

Dean Owens also joined Treaty in 2025 from the Bray Wanderers Academy. Owens featured for both the senior men’s side and MU20’s last season. The Kildare native made six senior appearances for the club, scoring twice against Waterford in a Munster Senior Cup tie.

Galwegian Chris Horgan joined the club in July of 2024, where he made 11 appearances in both league and cup and provided an assist against Pike Rovers. Horgan re-signed with the club in 2025 and went on to make 4 appearances in the First Division.
