TREATY United have announced the departure of midfielder Lee J Lynch ahead of the 2026 League of Ireland First Division season.

In a statement released by the Garryowen-based club, Treaty thanked Lynch for his services over the course of the last two seasons:

"Lynch returned home to the Markets Field in the Summer of 2024 from NIFL side Coleraine FC. The Limerick native made his debut for the club in an away league fixture against UCD in July of 2024. His first goal came for the club at home Wexford FC in a 3-1 defeat at home in August of 2024. He finished the season with 12 league and cup appearances along with two goals and two assists, helping the side reach the Sports Direct FAI Cup Quarter Finals.

"The midfielder re-signed with Treaty for his second season with the club ahead of the 2025 season. Lee-J was an integral part of the club reaching the League of Ireland First Division Playoff Finals where went on to make 23 appearances for the in all competitions, providing 5 assists. Lynch also captained the side on eleven occasions in 2025.

"Lee-J finishes his time at the club making 35 appearances across all competitions, with two goals and seven assists. Everyone at Treaty United would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Lee-J for his commitment, leadership and professionalism during his time at the club, and would like to wish him all the best in the future."

Lynch was appointed as Managing Director of Limerick FC as well as head-coach of Limerick FC's men's U17 team in December. 

Treaty United kick-start their League of Ireland First Division season on Friday, February 13 against Cork City at Turners Cross, kick-off is at 7.45pm.
