The Men's side have announced the re-signing of stalwart defender Mark Walsh.

The defender re-signs for the club for his sixth season with the club. Walsh began his career in the League Of Ireland in 2011 when he signed for Athlone Town in 2011, from Nenagh Celtic, under current first team coach Mike Kerley. The Nenagh native went on to make 29 appearances for the Midland side over two seasons before re-joining Nenagh Celtic.

In February of 2021, Walsh signed for Treaty United ahead of the club’s inaugural season. The defender has gone on to make 115 appearances on Shannonside, where he has played a part in the club reaching the First Division playoffs on three occasions and an FAI Cup Semi-Final since joining the club. In 2025, the Tipperary native made 19 appearances and grabbed 1 goal, which he got in a last minute equaliser away to Dundalk.

Speaking to Treaty United, Walsh commented – "I’m delighted to have signed back with Treaty, I’ve been there since the start. It’s a real honour playing with Treaty and I can’t wait to get back and give it all for the fans."

Manager Tommy Barrett also commented: "It's great to have Mark back. He is a great leader and exactly the type of character we want at the club. A great person and role model for all the players, Mark is a quiet leader who lets his football do the talking. He has been excellent for us from day one, very professional and always bouncing back from some serious injuries, which really shows his resilience."

The club have also confirmed that midfielder Steven Healy has signed a permanent deal.

The Galway midfielder joined Galway United at U15 level from Maree Oranmore. He then moved through the ranks at Galway United, where he was part of their U19 squad that reached the EA Sports Enda McGuill Cup Final in 2023, and also made the breakthrough to the senior squad in the same year, making six appearances for the Tribesmen in their First Division campaign.

In 2024, Healy went out on loan to Kerry FC, where he grabbed two assists in 17 appearances. In the same year, the midfielder made the move up to Treaty on loan, where he also made 17 appearances in all competitions, along with three assists. 2025 saw the Galwegian stay on Shannonside on loan, where he made 31 appearances in all competitions.

Healy also has great experience at international level, having represented the Republic of Ireland Colleges and Universities side on three occasions alongside current Treaty United teammates Richkov Boevi and Colin Conroy. Healy was also a member of the University of Galway side that reached the Collingwood Cup Final in February 2025.

Speaking to Treaty United Healy commented: – "I’m delighted to have signed on a permanent deal with Treaty United. I’ve been here over the last two seasons and I’ve really enjoyed my time, so it was a no-brainer for me to come back, really. The fans were brilliant since I’ve been here, so hopefully we will see them at the Markets Field in 2026."

Manager Tommy Barrett also commented on the signing of Steven Healy: "Delighted to have a season in which it will be his first season as a Treaty player after two very good loan spells. Steven is a bundle of energy and enthusiastic in every training session and game that he plays in. Still only 21, he has a very bright future in the LOI, in my opinion."

The Treaty United Women's side have also been busy of late, with the club announcing the promotion of talented youngster Ellen Goggin to the first-team.

The Limerick-born forward has been a standout performer at youth level for both club and country, showcasing her talent and development through Treaty United’s pathway. Ellen has represented the Republic of Ireland at youth international level, featuring for the Ireland Women’s Under-17s.

At Academy level she has consistently impressed with her work rate and technical ability and her performances have earned widespread recognition within the club’s development setup. Ellen’s rise through the Academy exemplifies Treaty United’s focus on nurturing local talent and creating clear pathways into senior football.

Goggin commented: "I’m super happy to sign with the Treaty United Women’s first team. Coming through the Academy here has been an amazing journey and I’m grateful for all the support along the way. I’ve learned so much and can’t wait to test myself at senior level, help the team and continue to grow as a player this season."

Laurie Ryan, Treaty United Women Manager, commented: "Great to have Ellen move into the first team. She is a fantastic young talent who has shown real commitment and development both at club and international youth level. Her performances for Ireland’s U17s and with our Academy have made her promotion well earned. Ellen has the qualities we believe will serve her well in this next step of her career."

The Women's side also confirmed the re-signing of defender Clodagh Daly.

Clodagh, who is also part of the Rep of Ireland U19 Women’s National squad,  joined Treaty in January of this year and remains an important part of the squad, having consistently demonstrated commitment and reliability during her time at Markets Field. Clodagh’s ability to read the game, compete defensively and contribute to the team has made her a valued member at Markets Field.

Clodagh’s re-signing provides continuity and experience within the defensive unit as Treaty United Women continue to build and strengthen the squad for the season ahead.

Daly commented: "I’m really happy to be re-signing with Treaty United Women. It’s a club I’m proud to represent and I’m excited about the direction the team is heading in. I’m looking forward to the first game of the new season."

Laurie Ryan commented: "We’re delighted that Clodagh has committed to another season with Treaty United Women. She’s a reliable defender, works extremely hard and understands exactly what we expect from our players. Clodagh brings consistency and a great attitude to the group, and her re-signing is important as we continue to build a competitive and cohesive squad."
