The side enjoyed an impressive run in this season's Women's FAI Cup before exiting the competition at the hands of Bohemians at the semi-final stage.
Treaty, who sit in seventh place in the Women's Premier Division table, suffered a heavy 6-0 defeat to Peamount United in their league fixture last weekend.
Confirming news of former League of Ireland player Russell's departure from the club, Treaty United extended its 'sincere thanks to Sean for his contributions to the women’s programme.'
“Sean has been a valued member of our club and has played an important role in building standards for our women’s side on and off the pitch,” said Ciara McCormack, CEO, Treaty United FC.
“On behalf of everyone at Treaty United, we thank him for his hard work and wish him the very best in his next chapter.”
The Club will begin the recruitment process for a new Senior Women’s Head Coach immediately for the 2026 season.
Treaty United say they 'remain committed to investing in the women’s game, strengthening our player pathway, and representing Limerick and the Mid West with pride.'
