It is a rare Wednesday night kick-off for the Shannonsiders who face Athlone for the first time since beating the league leaders 1-0 in the All-Island Cup in May, thanks to a 76th minute strike from Katie Lawlee.
Sean Russell's side will be hoping to take Saturday's positive performance against Munster rivals Cork City into Wednesday night's clash with the Midlanders.
Goals from the in-form Isabella Flocchini, Madelyn Robbins and Mara McCleary gave the Shannonsiders a 3-0 lead after 69 minutes.
Cork did manage a late consolation through Áine Walsh but Treaty held firm to see out a comfortable 3-1 at Turners Cross.
That result keeps the Limerick-based side in the top half of the Women's Premier Divison table, sitting sixth on 21 points, level with fifth-placed Shamrock Rovers and five points ahead seventh-place Bohemians.
The Shannonsiders will have to be at their best if they are to cause an upset on Wednesday.
Treaty fell to a 3-1 defeat when the sides last met in April and since then the Midlanders have continued to grow from strength to strength, remaining top of the league, two points ahead of second placed Shelbourne.
Not only are Athlone aiming to take home the Premier Division title for the second year in a row, they also have Champions League matters to contend with when they host Welsh side Cardiff City next week in the first round of qualifying for this year's competition.
A win or draw for Treaty against their top-of-the -table opponents could see the leapfrog both Shamrock Rovers and Galway United, which would see the Limerick side sit fourth in the table.
Treaty can fully focus on matters in the league for the foreseeable having been knocked out of the All-Island Cup earlier this month by Shelbourne, and with the quarter-finals of the FAI Cup due to be played next month, it gives Sean Russell plenty of time to focus on affairs in the Premier Division.
Kick-off at the Markets Field is at 7.30pm on Wednesday evening. The game will also be broadcast live on LOI TV.
