Limerick GAA club championship draws revealed

THE draws for the 2018 Limerick club hurling and football championships were made this Sunday afternoon at the Limerick GAA Annual Convention in Cappamore Community Centre.

With a new-look inter-county season next season, there will be an early start for the clubs.

If Na Piarsaigh advance to the March 17 All Ireland club SHC final in Croke Park, they will only have a few weeks rest before starting their county title defence - two rounds of the Limerick SHC, Premier IHC and IHC are set to be played in April with April 21/28 the expected dates for round one.

The Limerick SFC and IFC will start on April 7/14.

Na Piarsaigh, Monaleen and Adare are once again all dual senior clubs – all are drawn in the same football group.

SHC: Group 1: Adare, Patrickswell, Doon, Na Piarsaigh, Ballybrown, Patrickswell. Group 2: Monaleen, Knockainey, South Liberties, Murroe-Boher, Ahane, Cappamore.

PIHC: Pallasgreen, Garryspillane, Mungret, Kildimo-Pallaskenry, Feohanagh, Blackrock, Bruff, Bruree.

IHC: Group 1: Knockaderry, Croom, Hospital-Herbertstown, Dromin-Athlacca, Dromcollogher-Broadford, St Patricks. Group 2: Newcastle West, Granagh-Ballingarry, Na Piarsaigh, Effin, Glenroe, Claughaun-Old Christians.

SFC: Group 1: Dromcollogher-Broadford, Adare, Ballylanders, St Senans, Monaleen, Na Piarsaigh. Group 2: St Kierans, Ballysteen, Oola, Fr Caseys, Newcastle West, St Patricks.

IFC: Group 1: Athea, Pallasgreen, Glin, Bruff, Mungret, Claughaun. Group 2: Castlemahon, Galbally, Galtee Gaels, Rathkeale, Mountcollins, Gerald Griffins.
