Oliver Lynch’s brace earns Tamworth victory against Carlisle

Oliver Lynch scored twice as Tamworth come from behind to claim a 2-1 win against Carlisle.

The Cumbrians went ahead after 52 minutes through Stephen Wearne, whose shot from outside the box had enough to beat Jas Singh despite the goalkeeper getting a hand to the ball.

Tamworth pushed for an equaliser and it arrived just 12 minutes later as Lynch turned home Dan Creaney’s ball across the box.

Creaney and Lynch combined again for the winning goal as the latter’s second of the afternoon got Tamworth back to winning ways and ended third-placed Carlisle’s three-match unbeaten run.
