Lady Youmzain sparkled on debut when running out an impressive five-length winner of the Topmark Solutions Facilities Management EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes at Beverley.
Ophelia Grace took up the running as they entered the final furlong but Tom Eaves always had Lady Youmzain handy on her heels.
And as soon as Eaves asked the Hello Youmzain filly to quicken she put the race to bed quickly, distancing herself from the field to gallop home a comfortable winner on the Westwood at 15-2.
Ophelia Grace stayed on for second with Peggy Boo completing the places.
Eaves said: “Kevin’s loved her from day one and she’s just done the job today.
“She’s done it like that and she’s had no bother doing it and it’s onwards and upwards for next year. She was very professional and she’s shown plenty of ability.
“She will improve for that and she has a bit of class.”
Quantum Power (100-30) got his nose in front for the first time at the third attempt in the EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes.
Noelies Dream led the field in the final furlong as David Egan switched Quantum Power to the farside rail.
The Tom Clover-trained gelding began to make inroads and after being shaken up, pulled clear to win by one and a quarter lengths from 200-1 chance Fordham Flyer.
Egan said: “He’s not the quickest out of the traps but they stayed off the fence and we had a bit of space, a bit of breathing room to trust him with.
“I thought dropping him back to five (furlongs) was a big plus. He cruised into it nicely. It was a real slog and the fact he had six in his locker was an asset and he showed a really willing attitude and hit the winning line well enough.
“I was always going to go for the rail and it helped him.”
Elegant Erin won the feature We Are Christmas Party Central Handicap for the third time for trainer Paul Midgley and jockey David Nolan at 9/4.
Winning at Beverley for a fourth time, the eight-year-old relished the soft ground to gallop home a length clear of Alligator Alley.
Midgley said: “She was locked up with nowhere to go for quite a while and it opened up at just the right time for her.
“She’s easy to train, very straightforward. If she’d had the draw today and the ground today in the Bullet, it’d have been a different story (finished sixth). She is entered here on Tuesday so we could come back.”
Another newcomer to excel was Caim in the EBF Fillies’ Restricted Novice Stakes.
The Oasis Dream filly was always travelling strongly and after being asked for an effort by Callum Rodriguez, she passed Lady Hornblower and pulled clear to win by three lengths at 10-1.
Dunkeld Dreamer justified 6-5 favouritism to give Karl Burke a 98th win of the season in the Topmark Solutions National EV Bay-Marking Specialist Nursery Handicap.
Dunkeld Dreamer hit the front three furlongs out and never saw another rival to ease home by six and a half lengths.
Hashtagnotions (9-1) made all to land the Westwood Handicap and Sonic Pioneer (5-1) took the concluding Season Finale Is Next Tuesday Handicap to complete a double for Rodriguez.
