Stenhousemuir move top of League One with victory over Kelty Hearts

Stenhousemuir moved top of William Hill League One after a 1-0 win at Kelty Hearts.

Euan O’Reilly’s penalty after 29 minutes proved the only goal, lifting the Warriors above Queen of the South and Alloa, who both suffered defeats on Saturday.

Previous leaders Queen of the South were beaten 2-1 at East Fife.

Reece Lyon equalised for the Doonhamers on the stroke of half-time after Tommy Goss had opened the scoring for the hosts but Nathan Austin settled the contest following the restart.

That also lifted East Fife above Alloa, who slipped to fourth after going down 1-0 at home to Montrose.

Aidan Quinn headed the only goal 12 minutes from time at Indodrill Stadium.

Stuart McKinstry scored an 89th-minute equaliser as Hamilton secured a 2-2 draw at Peterhead.

Peterhead twice led through Craig McGuffie and Cammy Smith but Oli Shaw hit their first leveller and McKinstry had the final word.

Calum Macleod scored the only goal as Inverness won 1-0 at Cove Rangers in the day’s evening kick-off.

Spartans are the new leaders of League Two following a 2-0 win at 10-man Stranraer.

Jamie Dishington and Cameron Russell struck in the last 13 minutes as the visitors finally took advantage of Sean Docherty’s first-half sending-off.

East Kilbride dropped to second after being held 2-2 at Edinburgh City.

Jason Jarvis scored City’s equaliser after Kilby had responded to James Stokes’ early opener with a John Robertson penalty and Cameron Elliott effort.

Marley Redfern scored a hat-trick as Clyde thrashed Annan 6-0 at Galabank. James Hilton, Mouhamed Niang and Kyle Connell also got on the scoresheet.

Elgin beat Stirling 3-0 with goals from Russell Dingwall, Josh Walker and Kane Hester. Albion had Jack Harkness sent off in the closing minutes.

Dumbarton came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Forfar. Scott Honeyman replied to early goals from Martin Rennie and Jake Dolzanski before Leighton McIntosh completed the turnaround in the final 13 minutes.
