Callum Howe scored a stoppage-time equaliser as 10-man York recovered from falling 2-0 down after just three minutes to draw 2-2 with Yorkshire rivals Halifax in the National League.
Adam Senior headed the play-off chasing visitors in front from a second-minute corner and Tom Pugh’s long-range strike quickly made it 2-0.
York pulled one back in the 15th minute when Ollie Pearce was fouled in the box by Senior before slotting home from the spot for his 19th goal of the season.
City, who saw defender Ryan Fallowfield carried off on a stretcher after a lengthy first-half delay, looked beaten when Ashley Nathaniel-George was sent off in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
But Howe headed home four minutes later to keep York second, nine points behind leaders Barnet with two games in hand.
