MONALEEN WILL face St Josephs Doora Barefield of Clare in the Munster AIB junior club camogie final this Saturday, November 25 at 2:00pm in the camogie grounds in the Ragg.

The Limerick team had a convincing 3-16 to 0-8 victory over Waterford rivals Butlerstown at Ballyagran in last weekend's semi-final.

Monaleen were quick to score their goals in the opening minutes of the semi-final through Ella Hession.

The goal triggered a rampant scoring spree for Monaleen, a pair of Ellie Madden frees were followed by two stand-out scores from the dangerous Caoimhe Lyons.

This scoring spree continued throughout the first-half and despite their 11 points advantage after the half-time break Monaleen continued to apply the scoring pressure.

Their opponents St Josephs Doora Barefield also had a comprehensive win in their respective semi-final against Cilliard of Kerry, coming away with a 3-07 to 0-03 victory.

This will be Monaleen’s second final of the season after coming away with the spoils in the Limerick intermediate county final.

The squad overcame a determined Croagh–Kilfinny side to come away with a  2-15 to 2-10 victory.

Monaleen will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow Limerick club, Adare, who were the 2022 Munster junior camogie champions.
