THE Munster squad returned to training at the High Performance Centre this week to begin preparations for Friday week’s URC Round 14 clash against Ospreys at Thomond Park (7.35pm).

On the injury front, Munster report that winger Andrew Conway underwent a procedure on his knee last week and is expected to continue his rehabilitation with the medical department for the coming three to four months.

On a more positive note, Munster's South African World Cup winner RG Snyman is increasing his training load, according to Munster.

Munster also report that winger Calvin Nash (ribs) will follow a period of rehabilitation with the medical department.

Prop Roman Salanoa has been called up to the Ireland squad for the first time and joins Tadhg Beirne, Craig Casey, Gavin Coombes, Jack Crowley, Keith Earls, Dave Kilcoyne, Conor Murray and Peter O’Mahony in camp.

Beirne, Murray and O’Mahony all started the win over Wales on Saturday with Casey and Kilcoyne featuring off the bench.

Munster Academy duo Ruadhan Quinn and Evan O’Connell, Garryowen’s Brian Gleeson and UCC’s Jacob Sheahan and Danny Sheahan helped the Ireland U20s to a victory in Wales with Gleeson named Player of the Match.

There were two Munster players in club action at the weekend with Dan Goggin and Fionn Gibbons helping Young Munster to a Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Cup semi-final victory over Cork Constitution.

Continuing to Rehab: James French (leg), Jeremy Loughman (thigh), Tom Ahern (shoulder), Paddy Kelly (head), Jack Daly (knee), Andrew Conway (knee), Mike Haley (ankle).
