Munster will face Northampton Saints in the Champions Cup at Thomond Park

MUNSTER head coach Graham Rowntree has made nine changes to his team for their Heineken Champions Cup clash with Northampton Saints at Thomond Park.

The game sees Roman Salanoa make his first start in the competition but there is no spot in the 23 for either Conor Murray or Keith Earls.

Joey Carbery, Craig Casey, Jack Crowley, Antoine Frisch and Calvin Nash all come into the back line. Mike Haley and Shane Daly keep their places from the bonus point win over the Lions last time out.

Peter O'Mahony also returns to captain the side in a back row with Jack O'Donoghue and Gavin Coombes. Jean Kleyn is partnered by Tadhg Beirne in the second row, with Salanoa, Dave Kilcoyne and Niall Scannell in the front row.

The game has a 3:15pm kick-off at Thomond Park. 

MUNSTER: Mike Haley; Calvin Nash, Antoine Frisch, Jack Crowley, Shane Daly; Joey Carbery, Craig Casey; Dave Kilcoyne, Niall Scannell, Roman Salanoa; Jean Kleyn, Tadhg Beirne; Jack O’Donoghue, Peter O’Mahony (C), Gavin Coombes.

Replacements: Scott Buckley, Josh Wycherley, John Ryan, John Hodnett, Alex Kendellen, Paddy Patterson, Rory Scannell, Liam Coombes.
