Limerick sides face crucial Munster Schools Boys Junior Cup fixtures

FOUR Limerick sides are in Munster Schools Junior Cup action this Wednesday as the competition begins to reach the business end.

Among the highlights is a Limerick derby meeting of Ardscoil Rís and Crescent College Comprehensive at Liam Fitzgerald Park, 2pm, in a quarter-final eliminator. The winner of this clash will advance to the quarter-finals of the Junior Cup. Crescent College overcame Kinsale CS in their previous Cup fixture last month.

In another quarter-final eliminator, Castletroy College make the trip to Leeside to face PBC, of Cork, at Virgin Media Park, 2pm. The winner of this fixture will advance to the quarter-finals of the Junior Cup. Castletroy scored an impressive win over a spirited Glenstal Abbey side in their previous outing in the Junior Cup.

In the final Munster Schools Junior Cup fixture featuring a Limerick side this Wednesday, St Munchin's College take on Rockwell College at St Mary's RFCs Multiflow Park, also 2pm, in a semi-final qualifier.

The winner of this fixture will progress directly to the Munster Shools Junior Cup semi-finals.
