The Limerick District League Gaynor Cup squad 2025
THE Gaynor Cup U14 interleague schoolgirls soccer tournament kicks-off at UL this Bank Holiday Monday, June 2.
The Gaynor Cup is Ireland's premier interleague tournament for U14 girls football, organised by the Schoolboys/Girls Football Association of Ireland (SFAI).
The opening round group fixtures get underway from 4pm today, Monday, with three Limerick sides, Limerick District, Limerick Desmond and Limerick County, taking part in the prestigious event.
Two Limerick leagues, Limerick District and Limerick Desmond, are both in Group 2 of the Gaynor Cup.

Limerick District open their campaign with a fixture against the Galway League at 4pm on Bank Holiday Monday while, at the same time, the Limerick Desmond League face the Longford League.
The Limerick County League have been drawn in Group 7 of this week's Gaynor Cup. County face the Sligo-Leitrim League at 6pm on Bank Holiday Monday. Also located in Group 7 are the Waterford League and the Lisburn Castlereagh League.
This year's Gaynor Cup features six groups of four teams and one three-team group, giving a total of 27 league teams competing. The second round of group fixtures will take place at 10am and 12noon on Tuesday, June 3 with third-round fixtures being staged at 4pm and 6pm on Tuesday.
Structured with group stages and a series of finals, including the Cup, Plate, Bowl, Shield, and Trophy, the five-day tournament showcases emerging female football talent and has become a recognised pathway to playing professionally.
UL has been proud to host the Gaynor Cup since its inception in 2013, offering elite facilities and a welcoming environment for the next generation of Irish stars.
