LIMERICK'S All-Ireland League (AIL) clubs have found out their run of fixtures for the upcoming season after they were revealed by the IRFU.
The new season begins for the men on October 7, while the women's competition has a September 16 start. Division 1A semi-finalists last season, Young Munster, begin their campaign with a trip to Lansdowne. Fellow top division side, Shannon, welcome UCD to Thomond Park on the opening weekend.
Garryowen start life in Division 1B with a tough fixture when they make the trip to Highfield. In Division 2A, UL Bohs make the short trip to Nenagh Ormond, while Old Crescent host MU Barnhall. Bruff start their Division 2C season with a visit to Clonmel.
In the women's AIL, UL Bohs head to Ashtown Lane where they play Wicklow RFC in their campaign opener.
There will be a three-week block of fixtures to start the season before a 'No Rugby Weekend' for all divisions. The aim of the weekend is to allow players and officials to manager their time away from rugby.
It also coincides with the date of the 2023 Rugby World Cup Final and Ireland’s involvement in Round 3 of World Rugby’s inaugural WXV 3 competition.
