Behind the scenes, globally acclaimed actor Liam Neeson is described as being “very professional” while on set in Limerick.

As well as this, the Director of Photography for 4 Kids Walk into a Bank, Bob Richardson, worked closely with Quintin Tarantino on films such as Kill Bill and Inglorious Bastards.

“We are dealing with royalty such as Neeson and Richardson. To have [Richardson] in the city and to be photographing it is really interesting,” said Paul Ryan of Film in Limerick.

“We also have lots of local crew from the region working on it. The last time we had a film of this scale was Angela’s Ashes. Being able to attract international production crews here is a testament to the emergence of the Mid-West.”

The movie 4 Kids Walks into a Bank is based on a five-issue limited series of comic books released in 2016, written by Matthew Rosenberg and drawn by Tyler Boss. It is an American story which follows four nerdy teenagers turned criminals, Paige, Stretch, Berger, and Walter.
