Limerick's Jack O'Brien will be competing in 'Snooker Shootout' this week
SHANAGOLDEN native Jack O'Brien will be participating in the 'Snooker Shootout' in Blackpool on Thursday, December 11 and the competition will be broadcast live on TNT Sports.

O'Brien will be playing in game 58 and will be competing against former champion Stuart Bingham.
O'Brien began playing pool at home aged four and win his first competition aged nine in Rathkeale where he won his first adult competition.
He has competed in several national competitions where he has won U12, U14, U16 and U18 championship titles.
O'Brien also represents Ireland, competing in Malta, Albania and Wales. The 18-year-old also plays with his team members in Munster and All-Ireland tournaments.
On a local level, O'Brien has won numerous tournaments in Rathkeale and Newcastle West as well as winning the Phil Martin Cup in Celbridge, County Kildare.
As well as competing in high level snooker at a high level, Jack also plays pool where he has represented Limerick in national tournaments where he became an U12 and U15 national champion.
