THE LIMERICK hurling and football management teams have been confirmed ahead of the 2026 inter-county season.

Limerick senior hurling manager John Kiely is entering his tenth season in charge. It will also be Paul Kinnerk's tenth year involved with the Limerick senior hurlers.

Alan Cunningham, John Flavin, Liam Cronin and Ger Barry remains as selectors this year.  There is only one change in the Limerick senior hurling team with Caroline Currid rejoining John Kiely's backroom team as sports psychologist.

Former Limerick footballer Ian Ryan has joined the Limerick senior football backroom team as forwards coach ahead of the 2026 season. Jimmy Lee enters his third year in charge of the Limerick senior footballers. Lee will be joined by Micheal Cahill, Pa Ranahan and Ryan on his backroom team.

Limerick U20 hurling manager Evan Loftus has made some changes to his management team. Alan Kelly, Stephen Walsh and Tony Power have departed their roles as selectors.

Loftus has added Tadgh Flynn (Causeway, Co.Kerry), Shane Mullane (Monaleen), Evan Condon (Na Piarsaigh), Aidan O'Rahilly (Adare) and Danny O'Sullivan (Kildimo-Pallaskenry) to the Shannonsiders U20 hurling management team.

Limerick U20 football manager John O'Grady has made one change to his management team with Kildimo-Pallaskenry clubman John Chawke replacing Robbie Hannon as goalkeeping coach. Andrew Lane (St Senan's), David Devane (Dingle, Co. Kerry) and Ray O'Flaherty (St Senan's) are part of O'Grady's management team for the second year running.

Former Limerick minor and u20 hurling manager Diarmuid Mullins replaces Donal O'Grady as the county's minor hurling manager.

Meanwhile, former Limerick footballer Garrett Noonan will enter his first year in charge of the Limerick minor footballers.
Former Limerick senior football manager Billy Lee and ex Limerick footballer Muiris Gavin are part of Noonan's management team.

Limerick senior hurling management team: John Kiely (Garryspillane, manager), Paul Kinnerk (Monaleen), Liam Cronin (Cappamore), Ger Barry (Killeedy), Alan Cunningham (Wolfe Tones, Co.Clare) and John Flavin (Monagea). 

Limerick senior football management team: Jimmy Lee (Newcastle West, manager), Micheal Cahill (Mungret St Paul's), Pa Ranahan (Askeaton-Ballysteen-Kilcornan), Ian Ryan (St Senan's) and Evan Talty (Kilmurry, Ibricknane, Co. Clare). 

Limerick U20 hurling management team: Evan Loftus (manager), Tadgh Flynn (Causeway, Co.Kerry), Shane Mullane (Monaleen), Evan Condon (Na Piarsaigh), Aidan O'Rahilly (Adare) and Danny O'Sullivan (Kildimo-Pallaskenry).

Limerick minor hurling management team: Diarmuid Mullins (Mungret St Paul's), Jody Hannon (Adare), Brian Sexton (Bruree), Ger Kelleher (Dromin-Athlacca) and Tom Murphy (Doon)

Limerick minor football management team: Garrett Noonan (Dromcollogher Broadford), Neil McDermott (Monaleen), Paul Longeran (Ballylanders), Muiris Gavin (Monaleen), Aaron O'Sullivan (Pallasgreen), Billy Lee (Newcastle West) and Eoin Ryan (Adare).
